GHRP-2
Also known as: Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2, KP-102, Pralmorelin
4.2
out of 5.0
A synthetic hexapeptide GH secretagogue considered the most potent in the GHRP family, with stronger GH release than GHRP-6 and moderate appetite stimulation.
Research Overview
The peptide works by binding to ghrelin receptors on both pituitary somatotrophs and hypothalamic neurons, creating a synergistic effect that amplifies GH release. Compared to GHRP-6, GHRP-2 produces greater GH output per dose while causing less appetite stimulation. It does elevate cortisol and prolactin to some degree, though less dramatically than GHRP-6.
Clinical studies have consistently shown GHRP-2 to be among the most effective GH secretagogues available, producing GH responses that can rival those of exogenous GH administration. Research has explored its use in growth hormone deficiency diagnostics, anorexia, and muscle wasting conditions. Its approved diagnostic status in Japan reflects a strong clinical evidence base.
